Since maple syrup isn't on the GAPS diet I've been thinking up some new sauces to take its place at breakfast. This one is great and simple.
Almond Honey Sauce
1/4 C butter (4 T)
1/4 C honey
1/4 tsp GF almond extract
melt the butter and honey in a sauce pan over medium heat, stir together
bring mixture to a boil, boil for one minute and remove from heat
stir in almond extract
serve immediately as a sauce
