Spicy Yogurt Ranch

Here is a cleaner version of the classic ranch dressing.  No added sweeteners, no thickeners and really good flavor.  I have to say that I love a good salad with a fresh vinaigrette.  I like tasting the actual flavors of lettuce, cucumbers and peppers.  I don't need to eat every raw vegetable smothered in dip or dressing.  Yet still, I love ranch dressing!  I just do.  The classic veggie tray, present at every social function and my go-to gluten free snack, is sorely lacking without the yummy, creamy ranch side-kick.

This recipe calls for both yogurt and mayo.  It can definitely be made entirely with yogurt, it will just have a tangier flavor and won't mimic the traditional ranch flavor quite as much.

Try this dressing as a dipper for chicken wings, a sauce on baked chicken, a condiment on a roast beef sandwich or mixed with avocado and hard boiled eggs for an updated egg salad.  Yumm.
